Running Classes for Improved Performance
PTS Running Classes are open to adult men and women of all ages. The classes are designed to improve performance by using a variety of training techniques for intermediate to advanced runners. Training includes: Speed Work, Pace Runs, upper-body conditioning, core development, and flexibility enhancement. The class is designed specifically for 5k runners.
Before the 12-week Running Class begins, each participant will undergo a physical fitness assessment. This assessment will include testing dynamic strength, core strength, and a 1.5 mile evaluation run. The group assessment provides the necessary information to monitor and track your individual progress during the course of the class. Additionally, your initial fitness assessment will also establish personalized goals for you to achieve by the end of the 12-week cycle.
During the course of the Running Classes, each group will focus on primary areas of training (cardio, body resistance, and core). To maximize your potential during each class, it is strongly advised that each participant be properly nourished, hydrated, and well-rested to ensure that you receive the maximum benefit from your time. And at the end of each class, we will briefly engage in various wellness topics that affect your daily life.
